School Committee Meeting from June 9th

Watch the video here

“The school committee voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a $32 million budget and moved to raise athletic fees and cut 17 school positions, which will eliminate kindergarten and elementary classes at Allen Avenue School. Increasing the fees from $100 to $150 will raise an estimated $60,000 and laying off 17 employees will save $1.5 million. The layoffs will include about nine teachers, a custodian, aides, a nurse and a principal.” [From The Sun Chronicle article]
